End of the generation: What were your top ten games?

Here's mine (I played only PS4 games, and am not counting remasters like GRA 5 or Last Of Us Part I )

1. Horizon Zero Dawn: My favorite storyline of the generation, and incredible technical achievement.

2. Spider-Man: The most fun game I've played this generation.

3. Uncharted 4: For some reason, I keep playing that game over and over. I loved how the pirate story unravels.

4. Ghost of Tsushima: I wasn't expecting it to be that good. My favorite combat system.

5. Bloodborne: I'm surprised I finished that one and it was so rewarding. A creepy experience I will never forget

6. The Last of Us Part II: Far from perfect, but a milestone in gaming as far as I'm concerned. I can't stop thinking about that game and am glad they took risks in telling this grey story.

7. God of War: For most, this will be the best of the generation. It's somewhat a perfect game, but I just liked the other better.

8. Inside: My favorite indie game of all time.

9. Jedi Fallen Order: As a SW fans, this was a dream come true. If it was a bit less buggy, it could have made it to the top 5.

10. Red Dead Redemption 2: The best world to explore, but I did find it a bit repetitive in the end. Despite that, well fleshed out characters and an insane amount to details brings it in my top ten for sure.

Runner Up: Final Fantasy VII Remake, Resident Evil 7

Detroit Become Human was really amazing. I personally though felt i haven't played enough of the exclusives fully to form my top 10 with some of the titles that came out this year. However it's been a solid generation.

This evening my iPhone randomly played a track from Low Roar (Death Stranding) and I wanted to give it some praise. This game has a phenomenal melancholic soundtrack. My favorite orchestral score is Horizon Zéro Dawn though.

Edith Finch was awesome. It was in my top 3 of that year. The Halloween chapter was really clever.

Ghost Recon Wildlands (favorite exploration game this generation)
Red Dead Redemption 2 (best looking wilderness)
Fallout 4 (they left out the awesome repair feature, hurting replay value)
Watch Dogs 1 (favorite open city of Chicago)
Grand Theft Auto 5 (fun motorcycling)
Days Gone (worst fuel consumption of any game)
Witcher 3 (wish the different maps were seamless)
Mafia 3 (worst water reflections in a game)
PSVR Games - Astrobot, Moss (amazing VR experiences)
Batman Arkham Knight (best graphics IMO)

Streets of Rage 4 (incredible sequel for the SOR series, 10/10)
Sonic Mania (great retro reboot of Sonic with all new levels)

No Man's Sky (decent outer space planets simulator)

1. Final Fantasy VII Remake

2. Ghost of Tsushima - really took me by surprise how good this was. There was a weird calmness and peace to slashing people with a sword. Beautiful game.

3. Spiderman - I will cherish every moment of this game because my son and I had a blast playing it.

4. Stardew Valley - same as Spiderman. Playing with your kids is so much fun.
