I can't choose.

Scorsese has Mean Streets, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Goodfellas, Casino, and many many more.

Coppola has The Godfather 1 and 2, Apocalypse Now, and The Conversation.

Scorsese easily.
Casino and Wolf of Wall street are better than anything Coppola has done although Apoc. Now Redux is extremely great as well

Scorsese for consistency of brilliance over a long period and for not feeling the need to defecate on his two finest achievements by making a sequel with budget casting, Al Pacino with a dead hedgehog balanced on his head and a supremely talentless actress who just happens to be his daughter

Feel the same. Love Scorsese but nothing is better than Godfather or Apocalypse Now

I'd go with Scorsese for consistency and a large body of work including Mean Streets, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, King of Comedy, Last Temptation of Christ, Goodfellas, Age of Innocence, Casino, Gangs of NY, The Departed, and The Wolf of Wall Street.

Coppola's run from The Godfather to Apocalypse Now may be the greatest of any filmmaker, but his work since has ranged from fair to crap.

I'm most likely going to get crucified for saying this, but I prefer Casino, Goodfellas and The Wolf Of Wall Street to the Godfather movies and everything else the Coppolas (Francis Ford and Sofia) have done.

I prefer Godfather I & II and The Conversation to anything Scorsese has done, but Scorsese has made a greater number of great films. However, neither has made a film in a long time that I really cared for much.

While I think The Godfather is the best film ever made I'll have to go with Scorcese on this cause as a whole his body is work is stronger.
