Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez want Sin City 3

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For co-directors Frank Miller and Robert Rodriquez returned to Comic-Con ten years after debuting footage from the original film in San Diego.

According to Miller, the groudnbreaking comic book creator of the series, he and Rodriguez already have thoughts for a third outing.
"Robert and I are already talking about Sin City 3," Miller told the crowd. "So you'd better show up for number two or they won't pay for it""
The pair showed a portion of the opening scene, adapted from Miller's "Just Another Saturday Night." In the action-packed, noir-heavy scene, Marv (Mickey Rourke) kills a bunch of frat boys for attempting to burn a homeless man alive. There's a car chase, Jessica Alba stripping, and plenty of drinking on Marv's part.

Then stars Rosario Dawson, Josh Brolin and Alba greeted fans and revealed what they could about the project. Alba promised her character Nancy would "become a warrior" in the sequel, while Brolin said of Miller's work, "You really have to dive into what he's created."
The co-directors gave particular praise to Alba for being so intense on set that it intimidated them.
"She showed up so in character that we thought she hated us," said Rodriguez. Added Miller: "My first thought when I saw Jessica was 'I haven't seen her in eight years. How did I piss her off?' "

The first Sin City was released in 2005, with the sequel taking years to get off hte ground. But Rodriquez defended the gap between films, saying technological improvements and the cast makes this time particularly special.
"I don't think any other time would have been the right time. This cast would not have been there," he said.
Rodriguez also talked about the challenge of handling the schedules for the sprawling cast, noting that Brolin and Rourke never met, despite having their scenes together.
"He said, 'I've been wanting to work with Mickey for 20 years, and now I am and he's not even here,' " said Rodriguez.
