I'm starting to feel like a movie snob after showing particular films to my kids that were geared more for adults, particular the ones that I watched when I was a kid.
Films that have been hated for years are now enjoyed by kids. Films that have been loved for years bring boredom to kids. Im not talking about mature movies that kids may like (for example, my son enjoyed Fritz lang's Metropolis, Night of the Hunter, Oliver Twist, Life of Pi, Forrest Gump and Lord of the Flies). Im just talking about the change in tastes with younger generations and how they are not influenced from mass hatred or love towards a movie as adults do. Here's my list of what ive noticed kids or teenagers (including my own and other kids) appreciating or not: Likes: - Matrix Revolutions - Star Wars prequels - Superman 4 - Return of the Jedi (meaning, not one ounce of criticism about the Ewoks) - Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull - Spiderman 3 Bored with: - The Sting - Jaws - Iron Man - Spiderman 2 Can anyone else list your observations?
