After the Sunset (2004) will finally get a US release on April 7th, 2015, courtesy of Warner.

Having already stolen two from the set of three priceless Napoleon Diamonds, expert jewel thief Max Burdett (Pierce Brosnan) decides to retire on a tropical island with his girlfriend and partner-in-crime, Lola (Salma Hayek). Fate intervenes, however, when Max discovers the third and final diamond is sitting on a docked cruise ship on his very island. It should be a simple job, but FBI agent Stan Lloyd (Woody Harrelson) shows up to make sure Max doesn't get any ideas.

Nice! Rented the DVD years ago and like this movie. Hopefully extras from the DVD are ported over. Would definitely pick this one up out for cheap.

Warner are usually pretty good about porting over any DVD extras for catalog titles.

I like pre-X-Men Last Stand Ratner. I know people hate the guy and his films, but I like most of his stuff (Rush Hour 1/2, Family Man, After the Sunset, Red Dragon) until the 3rd X-Men flick.

I liked Tower Heist, it's a fun movie to watch on HBO around Thanksgiving.

I've had a chance to watch this on TV, either HBO or one of those other premium channels, just didn't. At least it'll be out on Blu-ray.

Yes it has. I've already added it to my collection earlier this year. I guess I was too impatient to wait for the U.S. release.

Like other posters have mentioned Alliance did release it. However, when I bought it was suprised and disappointed to find it being inferior to the Warner DVD. The DVD had such saturated colors but the Alliance release had muted colors in comparison. Plus the main theme sounded similar to the one on Warner's DVD but I could clearly tell it was not the same. Perhaps they couldn't get the rights to some of the films soundtrack. The font of the main titles was different as well. I sold it and purchased the HD Version from iTunes and what a difference. Colors popped off the screen and everything sounded correct. Warner's Blu-ray should look fantastic!

the DI gave him and his crew the freedom on the set to overlook many problems, such as changing skies, that they knew could be fixed in post.

At one point in the commentary, Ratner describes debating with Spinotti whether the palm trees in a shot were sufficiently green.

This is why i'm not a fan of the DI. Try to get it right the first time so you're not guessing like a kid with crayons on how something should look afterwards. Or how you want it to look. Which leads ti trying to be a perfectionist and messing everything up.
