Perfect rental IMO. Perhaps I had higher hopes for this one going in, but ultimately for me, it was underwhelming. That being said, Depp did a fantastic job.

As much as I loved Depp's performance in this film, the film itself was missing something. Will wait for a price drop.

Loved this movie one of the best mob movies in a long time I will be buying day one. Depp was amazing his performance as Whitey was spot on.

I thought the movie was good, but not great. I expected more but overall it's worth a watch. Depp however was excellent.

You kidding me? That's all they could rustle up for bonus features? No "unrated" cut? No commentary? No deleted scenes, most of all?! Because there MUST have been a plethora of 'em, I mean the busing situation alone that was played in all the TV spots but totally cut from the film, all of Sienna Miller's scenes that got cut, ect. ect.

Don't get me wrong, this is OK, this is blue balls, I was expecting way more, a whole LOAD more..

If you didn't know what the bus scenes were in the trailers, basically in real life some bill (or whatever) got passed where they put kids who got good grades from nice neighborhoods on buses to go to bad, poor schools to make those schools look better and vice versa with the poor, mostly black, not smart kids getting bused to these schools known for good trades. They obviously filmed stuff for it cause it's in like all the TV spots and trailers, why not put all the deleted scenes on the disc?

And, I do believe they shot a lot more with Miller including her in older woman make-up and they likely shot more with Depp in the older make up. It has to be Scott in charge of this sh*t, because I don't recall his other two movies getting much in the way of special features either. Incredibly disappointing.

This is straight up Warner Bros. being lazy as all hell. I mean there has to be 30min-45min of deleted or alternate scenes just being left out, because...? No reason. We don't deserve 'em I guess.

I saw it in theaters and I liked it very much. They put a great effort making it look like it was the 70's, one of the reasons I enjoyed it and of course Depp's performance. I hope they consider to put an unrated or extended version of it.
I don't get all the hate for it, for a lot of ppl every gangster movie out has to be exactly like Goodfellas or The Godfather, I like those movies very much and I've seen it a lot of times but come on.

It was ok.

The problem I had with it was they made Bulger into a monster.

Say what you will about how he was in real life, but you need to make him an interesting character to the viewer.
Why am I sitting through a 2 hour movie about an un redeemable, cold hearted killer and liar?

Depp (who did an amazing job) is basically a vampire with creepy make up.

It would be like making a movie about Charles Manson.

No kidding I still have the ticket stub in my wallet from when I saw it on 9/21/15. Strange this one is releasing on blu nearly 5 months after it came out in theaters.

I liked this movie and will be picking it up when it comes out. Johnny Depp was incredible in this one. Obviously it's not quite up there with Goodfellas, Casino, The Departed, or maybe even Donnie Brasco. But it's solid for sure. Been saving a $25 Walmart gift card for the occasion. Hopefully it's $19.99 & not ridiculously priced at say $22.99 or what not.
