Default 3D Lovers: Go see The Wild Life in 3D before it is gone

Just saw it and it was some of the best animated 3D I have seen in theaters. The screen felt like it was 2 feet in front of me for the whole movie. The movie had poor reviews and it has limited 3D showings so go see it while you can if you love strong 3D effects. Story was OK, although not the most exciting, but the 3D held my attention regardless. 3D showings will probably be gone from most theaters in the next week or so.

Chime in if you have seen it and agree/disagree.

It's a Ben Stassen movie, the 3D in his movies is always out of this world. he made both Turtle's Tale/ Sammy's Adventures movies and Thunder and the House of Magic which all have stunning 3D.

Looking forward to picking up the 3D blu ray. It goes by the title of Robinson Crusoe in the UK.

I'm a 3D fan but if the movie is bad the quality of the 3D doesn't matter to me

What is that supposed to mean? The 3D in Ben Stassen's movies is always superb. The OP admits that as a movie is not amazing but it's a great 3D ride, that's all.

I didn't think it was that bad. Maybe they didn't pay off enough reviewers like larger studios. I found it more enjoyable to sit through than sausage party, but everyone has their own tastes. For me, the reason to see any movie in a theater instead of waiting is effects like this, and too bad it isn't more common.

I've enjoyed all his films. No they aren't Pixar/Disney/Dreamworks level of great storytelling, but the animation is very good, the 3D is phenomenal. I'd rather watch them over half the utter shit that gets raved about in this place

The Sammy films and Thunder especially look stunning on blu-ray. Sure the animation isn't PIXAR quality but the animation is certainly nice and the quality of the 3D is superb. Thunder is one of my favorite 3D animated titles. It's reference quality 3D all the way. And the film is quite entertaining too.

The 3D in The Wild Life / Robinson Crusoe is the strongest 3D can comfortably get for most eyes, the pop outs go way out of the screen, and the 3D layers are always strong. Pixar may have better stories and characters, but they need to take notes from NWave on how to make 3D truly rewarding and exciting.

3D- 10/10

The movie had me almost falling asleep a few times, but the 3D kept me awake. Also enjoyed the design and look of the film. It's no longer in 3D in most areas and was a limited release.
