my sammy1000 broke so i took it in to best buy they took a look at it and it was unfixable so i got to get a new player upto 500 dollars <because that is what it is worth now> so i was reading the ps3 is one of the best. i got the 40 gig<which i already have the 20gig so i didn't need the ps2 thing> and brought it up there. well the kid screwed up and said i have 500 dollars more to spend so i didn't even ask twice i went and another 40 gig<that 2 ps3 40gig for 900> with warnetys. cool huh

For one, was this under warranty? Two, did you buy the PRP or PSP? Three was this within their 30 day return policy? Because:

1. Best Buy will not exchange a damaged piece of equipment, regardless of current selling price, at their store if it is within the manufacturers warranty and outside of their 30 day return policy. Also if it is outside the warranty they won't offer anything.

2. If you bought a PRP then they have to give you the price you originally paid for it plus tax. If you bought a PSP they will either repair it or exchange it with the same model or one of like kind and quality if the original is not available.

3. They will return or exchange the unit.

no i bought it june 06 and bought the psp. but the whole point was best buy said i only got to spend 500 and the sku came up 900 so that was nice.


with the psp i get a what the item to them is worth so to them it was worth 500. or a new samsung. they changed the psp and that is how it works now
