Default best 10" or 12" for $200 or less

i'm finishing up a home theater install for a friend and need to replace a 10+ year old, dead Klipsch sub. his top dollar is $200. I've been looking hard at the BIC F-12 and Dayton Audio SUB-1200... which of these two would you recommend? any other suggestions in this price range? thanks in advance...

My 2 PA-120's (12") list at $299 but I'm pretty sure they can be had for much less (I paid $223.65/each a few yrs ago for them, using Order Code "TV15") - I'd shoot them an email or call them for more info. HERE is the link for the Sub. It's a beast & I love it, gorgeous piano black finish also.

If your friend could swing another 20bucks parts-express has the dayton audio sub-1200 on for 109.00 right now He could get two and smooth out the bass response by placing them in different corners of the room it would also give him a little more headroom so ue would not need to push them as hard.

I use a BIC F-12 and I am very happy with it for home theater applications. It goes deeper than most subs under $200 and has a great warranty. In my opinion, the F-12 is a better speaker than the Dayton and I think your friend would be very happy with it. BUT you could almost buy two of the Daytons for the price of one F-12. I would agree with brooks and go with two Daytons to get the most out of your friend's money.

Initial impressions are WOW! Plenty loud and pretty descent sound to boot. In all honesty, the F12 has got me wanting to return my Dayton SUB1000... unfortunately, I don't have the extra $100, nor do I have room for a 12"
