NEIGHBORS - 36.637 MILLION
LEGENDS OF OZ - 7.489 MILLION
MOMS' NIGHT OUT - 7.319 MILLION

As terrible as I think Moms' Night Out looks it is Mother's Day weekend and movies aimed at the faith-based audience have been doing well.

So did God's Not Dead and that's looking like it will make it to 60 Million .

I think the popularity of Oz The Great & Powerful has something to do with Legends of Oz being a wide release.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2
Neighbors
The Other Woman
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Chef

I can honestly see the limited released films, "Chef" or "God's Pocket", creeping up into the 5th position. They shouldn't have much competition with two films better suited for direct-to-video releases.

Word's gotten out, but Spiderman 2 would have to be pret-ty bad to give Neighbors a #1.
Unless they have "Hangover" in the title, generic June-slob comedies (what's it doing in May? Are they still trying that "Counter-programming" thing?) are usually too niche to get first, unless the expected mainstream blockbuster defaults from crappiness.

Moms Night Out looks horrible. I think Spidey will win the weekend with Neighbors at #2.

With Chef releasing in 6 theaters I doubt it'll make it to #5 lol

Were you not aware just how limited Chef is? It's not even making the top 20.

Oh, I thought it was more than that lol. Whoops.

I guess you're right.

I just like to think that Captain has a lot more replay value, though I'm assuming most of the money garnered (for both) was for first-timers.

If it was notable, I would have included it in the original post.

If the good reviews continue for Neighbors, I can see it winning the weekend or, coming awfully close. There hasn't been a good comedy in a while, so I can see it being huge.

With plenty of bawdy humor evenly spread between its well-matched stars, Neighbors earns its R rating -- and filmgoers' laughs.

Can't wait for Neighbors! I think it'll take in about 30M, at second.

Neighbours will be number 1, I just don't think Spidey's got the stopping power, but it will be close.
