What's the fuzz about it not reading Blu-ray movies?

I bought one of these about a week ago.. while I haven't got a chance to buy any movies and attempt them...
I actually bought it for backing up data.. but I have to admit the BWU-100A is as close to garbage as it gets... I have had to throw out so many blu-rays so far due to bad quality burns..
I ended up putting it back in the box.
I bought a Panasonic SW model.. and have had NO problems, the difference is night and day...
I can't rule out that maybe I had a bad Sony model.. but regardless I wasn't about to try another again. It was worth the extra $200 for the Panasonic.

I just hope for our sakes, Sony does NOT put this in the PS3..

I see so many computer parts everyday, and I think Sony may have made another mistake with this one.

Panasonic drives are supposed to be very good so far lets hope their blu-ray player is very good too.
