I'm kinda just venting now, but how hard can it be? This always annoys the hell out of me. I'm not a native English speaker, and find it much easier to follow the movie if I have subtitles as well.
Right now it's Mulholland Drive that's irking me. Actually it always seems to be Studio Canal UK/Optimum that has a particular aversion to subtitles. And it's not like I can buy the Criterion Collection release, as that one is region locked, because God forbid Studio Canal should lose money just because the consumer wants a superior version of the same product. Anyone share my pain? |
