Watched mine yesterday. In my opinion, picture quality is pretty good with great colors.
Concerning the sound, if you're not fluent in spanish beware, this edition isn't really english friendly:
there are 4 tracks:
Spanish 5.1 and 2.0 : all the characters speak spanish.
English 5.1 and 2.0 : these are the best way to enjoy the picture as the main characters speak english when talking to each other and spanish with the locals.
The spanish subtitles are only available when english is used during these "english tracks".
Overall I'm really pleased with this release but I imagine people who don't understand spanish and expect a full english dub might be disappointed.

I highly recommend this release, even though there aren't English subs for the Spanish dialogues. PQ is the best we've ever had before. I really think you all should give it a try!!!

Yep. It's basically the original audio (english with some spanish and Dutch) on the Dark Sky dvd. If you're a fan of this film, you should have no problem following it on BD.

The PQ is a huge upgrade (and we gain image with this hd scan), but could be a lot better. AQ isn't bad.

How does it compare to Dark Skys skin tones? Dark sky skin colors were very red/yellow in most of the scenes

I no longer have the Dark Sky dvd, so I'm unable to compare. Here's some shots comparing an atrocious old Spanish dvd, the new BD and the new dvd.

I couldn't set up an account and I speak Spanish! Tried 3 times. Part of the problem is that some Castilian Spanish is different to the Caribbean Spanish I'm used to so I couldn't figure out some of the questions they asked. But my main issue was my address wasn't accepted as I entered it and none of the variations I tried worked. So I'm with you in waiting for an English-friendly retailer that ships worldwide to license it.

I don't speak Spanish either and used google translate for every step of the way. It took me less than 10 minutes to set up my account and place my order.

They do ship international.

I just swinged by just to check this thread again and this time I noticed its run time. "Duración 100 minutos" If this is so, then its definately cut cause my dvd run time is 112 minutes. Hmmmmm

The data that Monroville posted was from Fnac, they are just as bad as Amazon when it comes to having accurate information on what they are selling.

Also had no probs ordering (I don't speak Spanish) but as the Dark Sky and German DVDs looked very good already I won't expect a huge upgrade... the opinions in some Spanish forums weren't that positive either... but as it's pretty cheap and the movie is awesome it deserves any support it can get

When it arrives, please make sure to post here about what you think of the PQ (and maybe a few screen caps via VLC media player if possible).
