I thought this movie did better but looking back it was failure. I still enjoy it and wish it would get a blu ray release.

Any other fans?

To be honest this is one of few things I like Emma Roberts in.

Didn't know the book series started in the 1930's, always thought it was from the 50's.

Also, "Carolyn Keene" was a pseudonym for various writers, including Mildred Benson (1905 - 2002).

There was a TV series with the Hardy Boys from the 70's though I wish they did a Nancy Drew TV series in the 50's or 60's.

I really wish this movie did better, I would have loved sequels with the same cast.
