The latest Android and iOS updates to the Flixster app have added Chromecast support with HD streaming. I just tried it out, and it works great.
Supposedly you can also cast from Chrome on a computer, but much like Vudu I wasn't able to get that to work (no cast button appeared in the player controls and using the cast extension in the browser to send the screen did nothing). Now those pesky UV copies from HBO that show up in your UV library but are only playable through Flixster are infinitely more usable. Edit: Or maybe those HBO UV copies still aren't that usable since it seems they're "not available for casting" as reported below by chinemaphile. ![]() Last edited by bsweetness; 04-14-2014 at 06:09 PM. |
