Preordered.

I have waited for this movie on blu-ray for years.

One of the few "DVDs" that has an honorary place on my blu-ray shelves given it's film-merit, and I'll be thrilled to finally make the upgrade. This plus Thoroughly Modern Millie is making this a very nice summer for long-awaited classics to finally get the proper HD treatment.

I've always wondered why the song "Merry Christmas" performed by Judy in this musical didn't become more of a standard at holiday time. It's so beautiful. It's rarely been covered, but Johnny Mathis did it so well on his 2002 Christmas album.

While it's actually my least favorite version of Parfumerie (my favorite being She Loves Me), I do think this is a very cute movie that should look gorgeous on Blu-ray. Plus, the songs are a real treat.

There's no specs yet, but it'd be nice if the deleted "Last Night When We Were Young" song were to be included in the supplements. I'm not sure why it wasn't included on the DVD when I believe the number was uncovered for the Rhino soundtrack in the 90s:

I really liked this one but was surprised that a movie named In the Good Old Summertime is very much a Christmas time movie.

Just in case: These films are all based on the same 1937 Hungarian play Parfumerie set in Christmastime.
