Hello all, I have a set up which combines a two channel system and a home theater system. I have a Dehavilland Ultraverve 3 preamp which is connected to 2 Emotiva mono blocks, which feed a pair of Nola Viper iia speakers. My pre pro is an Integra, and I use an aux output on my tube pre to connect to the pre pro for movies.
My 20 year old Definitive Technology Powerfield 15" sub finally conked out on me, and I have just ordered a Goldenear Forcefield 5. In my previous set up, the sub was used only for home theater and was hooked up directly to the pre pro via Sub out. Now, I'd like to use the sub for both two channel listening and home theater. My question is how can I hook up the sub so that I can use it in both set ups? I'd prefer not to hook up my mains to the sub via speaker wire, which limits my options. I have seen some wireless kits which appear to be able to be hooked up to two preamps simultaneously and Im wondering if this is a feasible option. Please share your thoughts. Thanks. |
