Three modes of gameplay has me a little hopeful this won't just be running forward really fast. It looks solid and quick enough for what they've shown.

Classic Sonic in Green Hill. Plays almost like Sonic Generations. But I think with slightly better physics. Also, the music is changed. No more Green Hill remix.

Thanks for the details.

I'm definitely a fan of Sonic 2D above all else, but hopefully Sega offers some new ideas with the 3D level gameplay.

And here's some gameplay with "Hero", that's how they're going to call it I guess.

Gee, I don't know if any or all of the customized heroes will have all powers or you can customize it too. But damn, this "Hero" has unlimited double jump, grappling hook, flame thrower, everything except the kitchen sink.

This is a bad fanfic character dream come true.
