Jarhead 2: Field of Fire - Blu-ray Forum

Wow, just wow...

I can understand Universal making direct-to-video sequels to movies like American Pie, Blue Crush, Bring It On, Death Race, etc., but Jarhead was a prestige drama based on the real-life memoirs of a soldier. Now it's getting the "commodified for a quick buck" treatment.

I consider the first one to be an underrated gem with a solid ending, this just looks like Cole Hauser is dragging his career through the sewer.

From the cover looks like their turning it into an all out action movie......

It's too bad as I think he's been pretty good in a couple of movies.

I didn't even realize this was still a thing that they were doing. I thought the low budget DTV sequel fad died out a few years ago (if this was even intended as a sequel to begin with. It could have been some low budget film where they tacked the name on)

Yikes. I'm sad to see Jarhead reduced to this. As Jeff said, it's an underrated gem.
