Size of Blu-ray Cases - Blu-ray Forum

Does anyone know how the industry standardizes the size of cases for a media format?

Of course the cases are better than the previous DVD generation, but I just keep thinking that the Blu-ray cases could have been made smaller for preserving living space.

I dont know how a standard is chosen but there's got to be some board that is in charge of such things.

I agree they could be even smaller, but I think there are worries of making BD cases to similar to CDs. There needs to be a clear distinction to avoid confusion.
