Default I Need Help...

Afew months ago, I purchased a Yamaha receiver and a Sony BDP-S300, and although it's a great receiver and player, I am now looking to upgrade with the purchase of the Onkyo 605. I am wondering if the Onkyo would still be able to decode the new audio codecs, even though the Sony is not able to decode Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD Master. I would greatly appreciate some input from my fellow blu-ray members.

The 605 will definitely decode it with HDMI, just depends on if the Sony BDP-S300 can send out the audio via Bitstream... not sure if it can or not.

I purchased the RX-V661, and was told by the salesperson that it would decode hi-def audio via HDMI. The Sony is able to send out audio via bitstream or PCM.
