South Korea About how long do movies take to arrive from South Korea?

I ordered some Blus from KSteelBook earlier this month but haven't received them yet. I won't panic if they don't arrive until next week but this is the first time I've ordered anything from South Korea.

Can people with experience buying Korean Blus/DVDs tell me approximately how long it's taken for them to receive their orders?

Hmm... maybe I should have ordered from Kimchidvd instead. Have you ever purchased anything from KSteelBook?

Kimchidvd has been excellent for me so far.
I've made 40 orders from them and the longest any item has taken is 10 days.
Mostly 7-9 days shipping for my orders from them.

Looks like I'll be trying Kimchidvd next time I want to order something from South Korea. I e-mailed KSteelBook a little while ago to ask when they estimate my package's delivery date will be so we'll see what they have to say.

I guess it depends on how much you paid for shipping. I've never purchased from Ksteelbook before, but Kimchidvd usually gives you three options. I tend to go for the mid option which usually takes about 2 weeks.

Nope. Hadn't even heard of it until a few days ago. Kimchi lets me decide what the customs info says so I always go there.

Heck, I might even get western movies from there at some point, seeing as there are no safe places in the US. Sure, Amazon Export Sales is safe, but with that expensive shipping and import fees deposit, that's easily $30 on top of a simple order of two Blu-rays...

I guess we're getting a good deal here then. I always pick the cheapest option and the only thing that might prevent my order from being here within a week is if it takes a few days to ship.

K-Packet shipping is only ever a few bucks more than Small Packet. Though I'm not really sure on the difference since their Help/FAQ page doesn't mention it. My guess is that K-Packet has tracking, while Small doesn't.

I think K-Packet has tracking and doesn't require a signature. I used to have to sign for all my packages from kimchidvd but don't anymore. Packages from them usually take 9-11 days unless customs decides to sit on them for a while. I've had them sit in customs for well over a week before. So that might be your problem.

I ordered a disc from dddhouse and it only took 3.5 days to get here, but now customs is taking forever to clear it.

There's tracking on the least expensive shipping method Kimchi offers. There's always been tracking when I've ordered movies on eBay as well.

Looks like I might be in for some long wait times, after reading this thread and a few other posts on the forum. I'll settle in and prepare for that. Might be customs is sitting on 'em.

Just a little while ago tracking finally showed my packages as having arrived in the United States so it won't be too much longer until they arrive. Guess I don't have to worry anymore.

Usually takes about a Week for my packages from K2DVD to show up. I live in Australia, for the record. And I don't use express posting. But yeah, usually about a week or so for stuff to show up at home from K2DVD.

I don't mean to discourage you and I hope it will arrive soon. However, my package from Korea arrived in the country on Monday and now it can take up to 6 weeks for customs to do anything. If they then decide they need further proof of the purchasing price or whatever, a few more weeks can pass by before I can finally watch my disc. So good luck to all of us waiting for their packages!

One of the packages arrived today and the other is on route from Los Angeles.

Worse. The last time I was tracking a package and had it disappear into customs, I called them up and was told (by a recording, of course) that they don't track packages even if you have a tracking number.

After waiting a month, my package finally arrived. It wasn't opened. It wasn't examined. It wasn't damaged. Evidently, they just held it a month or so for absolutely no reason.

You guys are lucky...it generally takes 3 weeks for me to get mail from Korea to California. I've started using express cause my post office has started losing packages, or sometimes they drift in after 6 weeks
