After seeing Beowulf in digital 3d, I couldn't help but think that this is the next logical step in home theaters. I wonder if we are close to getting this experience at home. I've also seen The Polar Express in digital 3d and was completely blown away by it as well.
Does anyone know what would be involved in having this experience at home? 3d glasses would of course be necessary but what other equipment would be needed to pull it off? Would we have to have a specific type of tv or can it be done with what's currently out there? What about a specific type of movie player? Could current blu-ray or hd-dvd specs display some sort of specially formatted disk to show in 3d? I would appreciate any info from someone who might be on the up and up about this sort of thing. |
