As I kid I saw Inner Space which I think was a sort of remake of this film, was decent fun as I hazily recall.

It's more inspired by than a remake of. Both are great films and I'd love to get them both on Blu-ray.

Too bad this isn't a double-feature disc with Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, like the Fox DVD was. Will this include the SE extras - two commentaries and a featurette?

These are two nice additions on Blu-ray. It would be nice if they would also release "The Lost World" from 1961 as well. The DVD looked really nice so the Blu-ray should look even better except for some special effect shots.

Pre-ordered Voyage with fingers crossed that Fox won't opt to Region B lock it. If the Cleopatra release was any indication, it will be up to a year before a US release...

Pre ordered it yesterday also. thank goodness I have a region free player so I don't have to worry what region this disc will be.

After watching, can you confirm the runtime?

Are you in the position to make a BDInfo scan of the disc?

Sorry cannot do BD Info scan.
The runtime is 01:40:37.

Back cover incorrectly lists the runtime as 96 mins.
Hope this is helpful.

I think 96 minutes would be right in PAL speed-up-land.

On Amazon UK the runtime is 96 mins, I suspected that this is an error, I just wanted to be sure that this is not a cut version or something before I place my order for the UK release.

I usually don't give a damn to cover artworks, but this time I completely agree, this could have been much better. This new cover can be misleading, one might think this is a romantic film. Of course, if someone has seen the movie, the new cover makes sense, but I think it doesn't help much in selling the movie to someone who hasn't seen it yet. I also prefer the original artwork.

Bit of a bump

Just realised I don't have this on BD and I really fancy watching it again. I see the US one is pretty cheap at the moment (but out of stock) on Amazon but taking into account shipping etc. it'll work out the same as the UK edition.

They both appear to be identical, but are they? Obviously artwork aside
