Didn't expect this from Severin, I figured it more of a Kino Lorber title. Nice surprise and I like the MGM logo they chose for the spine. $17.00 is also a good price for a new pre order!

This is great! I loved this movie as a youngster, and I missed the bluray when Walmart had it for 5 bucks. I'll be preordering this right away.

Hmmm I think the old MGM/FOX Blu didn't have the original MGM UA opening logo, this edition might.

I know the old Laserdisc has the correct one.

YES!!!! I've been holding off on buying this for years because of how bad the reviews are for the existing releases. I remember seeing this at the rundown second-run theater in 7th grade. This is one of my all time favorite lazy saturday afternoon 'watch anytime it was on tv' movies from adolescence. Preordered.

My wife and I absolutely love this film. Undoubtedly the best Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn did together. They work beautifully together. Definitely picking this one up. “Come to daddy!”

That new logo was part of their rebranding in March.

I'm shocked. I've always associated Severin with cheap & sleezy films, like Something Weird Video, those rare and exotic B-Grade drive-in/Grind-House/Exploitation type of films.

So for me to see them release OVERBOARD....I'm like...WHAT???

Ok movie... Not sure about upgrading.... I love Russell, but I never got the appeal of Goldie Hawn. She isn't offensive or really bad or anything... Just never understood the hype.

I watched this the other day on the MGM prime channel. The whole time I was thinking, “Severin needs to get their claws on this one!”

Watch out Shout! Maybe we will see a Severin Selects? Right between sleazy foreign horror and Severin Kids.

I always enjoyed this movie. I watched it so many times on cable that I never added it to my movie collection. Now I will have to get this one in my collection.

We knew Severin had an MGM deal brewing and this was one of the first to eventually come from it. MGM's existing HD master is quite dated nowadays, so a new 2k IP scan here is welcomed!

I think the low price point has to do with it being very light on extras (only new extra being the Interview with Leslie Dixon), which I'm fine with as sometimes less is more and we're getting a new scan and not the same old shit (hopefully).

I can see Severin reissuing several MGM titles that were formerly put out by TCFHE, Scream, Twilight Time, Kino ect. I imagine former Scream Factory titles such as Carrie, Childs Play, Poltergeist II and III, Without Warning, New Years Evil, Tank Girl, and many more would be instant fits.
