South Korea Best Korean Movies Out On Blu-Ray

There is a thread for best Korean movies but I am starting this thread for movies which are out on Blu-Ray so please share those which are available on Blu-ray and you like them so much that they are a part of your collection now.

I am new to Koran cinema and I am sure many others like me will benefit from a thread like this so kindly share as much as you can and keep this topic alive.

Thanks!

If you can stomach dark and violent films, I strongly recommend...

I Saw the Devil.

The Man From Nowhere.

Also, Chan-Wook Park's films go without saying.

Default kd media titles

hi, does anyone want to start a thread on kd media titles? i dont know if there are many on blu-ray but i was re-organizing my korean import collection and i noticed i have 4. how many do others have?

nameless gangster
thieves
secret reunion
woochi

the first two are nice digibooks and the last two are just slipcovered. is kdmedia trending towards nicely packaged limited editions like cj entertainment and hommage??

edit:

have 2 more on the way, both of which i guess are only slipcovered

Pieta
Company Man

also just checked the blu-ray database...guess they have 27 releases.

It seems that they're all over the place, in terms of packaging. I own 6 KD Media releases, one of which (The Yellow Sea) doesn't even have English subtitles.

A Company Man
Nameless Gangster
Pieta
Tae Guk Gi
The Thieves
The Yellow Sea

I own 9. Half are digibooks and the other half has slip covers.

Thumbs up Best Korean Movies I have seen so far

First of all I am a serious home theater geek to start off.
I have seen plenty of Korean movies(I am a Korean American). Many Korean movies have such original ideas with deep meanings.

Here's my definitive recommendations:
1. Man From Nowhere: Action; I am blown away by the storyline, acting, and cinematography. My favorite Korean Movie ever!
2. My Sassy Girl: Romantic comedy at its best. Based on true story(amazing)! Used to cry watching this movie, seen it many times in my life. One of the best movies I have ever seen. USA remake is terrible..
3. Memories of Murder: Crime mystery. True story. Amazing movie! Seen it many times.
4. Architecture 101: Romantic drama. Recommended by my sister-in-law in Korea. Very moving, ending gets me every time. I heard this movie did very well in Korea when it was released in theaters.
5. Teacher Mr. Kim: Drama. Slacker teacher in Seoul is forced to teach temporarily in rural Korea as punishment where he learns the life's lesson by his students & townspeople. Very moving, one of my favs of all time. DVD and hard to find though, but definitely worth watching.
6. Oldboy: Korean classic. Crime drama. Spike Lee recently did remake of it, but not even close to this original.
7. Sunny: Coming of of age story like Stand by Me but all girls. Lots of profanity, comedy drama. Ending touches your heart deeply.
8. I Saw the Devil: Horror. Wow, I never seen this kind of psychological horror movie. Very original!
9. Commitment: Action drama, a young boy from N. Korea is forced become a spy. New bluray. I liked it. Awesome action sequences, but still Man From Nowhere is WAY better.

I love the movie "Always" (2011), but I do not think it has had any official release on Blu-ray yet ? The only one I have seen is a pirate version of it from China/Hong Kong - but I might be mistaken...
