Loved him in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and The Magnificent Seven, to name a few. I also enjoyed Mr. Wallach in two other films which would be the final performances of its stars: The Misfits (Clark Gable's and Marilyn Monroe's final film) and The Hunter (Steve McQueen's final film). RIP Mr. Wallach, and thank you very much for the memories.

Here he is in his first film (not for TV), Tennessee Williams' "Baby Doll" (1956) directed by Elia Kazan starring opposite Karl Malden and Carroll Baker. He won the Most Promising Newcomer to Film BAFTA in 1957.

R.I.P.; you were such a great actor!

Amen to both!

I remember seeing "Mystic River" here in Boston on opening day back in '03 and a small round of applause breaking out when Wallach popped up on screen in his cameo. Totally unexpected and very cool.

Rest in Peace, Eli.

Aw man. I was just watching The Godfather III over the weekend marveling at how he was almost 100 years old. Shucks.

RIP Tuco.

Argh...

I can't remember the exact line by Connie Corleone when she watched Don Altobello pass after eating the poisoned cannoli...

RIP Eli.
