Italy has a recent wave of Warner Steelbooks. They all mention "Augmented Reality" in the title, not sure what it implies though (lentcular?)

They also released new I Am Legend, Clash of the Titans, and Inception steels. Matrix and Blade Runner are in the wave too but the art matches other steels already released. All great pickups if you don't have them already

Damn missed this and Blade Runner. I wonder is Italy will be getting more of this Augmented Reality line?

The Augmented Reality will be similar to the UK one, whereby there's something on the case you can scan with your phone. I have the UK Blues Brothers one but I didn't have a suitable phone then. I've been meaning to try it out for a while

I think you get the effect on your phone screen of a 3D object coming out of the case. I'm sure there's people here who've tried it out

Really? What a neat idea. Do you need a special app? I currently have 5 of these 7 steelbooks(2 more en route), does it work on all of them. I notice there is a hologram sticker on the back of each one, from WB.

So I was fumbling my way around Amazon Italy looking at these steels and noticed that they have a sale going on right now where if you spend 39 euros you get an extra 30% on qualifying movies. Goonies, 300, Inception and Troy steelbooks are all part of this deal. This would be a triple or quadruple dip for me so I could not spend the $65 my order was coming out to. But maybe someone else here will want them.
