Where are the catalog releases for 4th quarter Holiday season?
Sony is releasing "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" and CBS is releasing the restored "My Fair Lady". Warner has "Christmas in Connecticut" and "A Christmas Carol" (Plus the Batman TV box set) But the rest have no plans for 4th quarter? Only re-issues and new covers? Paramount, Fox, Disney, Universal, MGM/UA? nothing? Does any one give Blu-rays as gifts anymore? Twilight time and Kino seem to be the only companies with catalog releases this year end. Even Criterion's December slate was pretty thin (Though they did great with their November slate) and last year Fox released 8 classics from their poll - where are the rest? |
