Your BOTTOM 5 Movies in your Collection

What are the worst movies in your collection. None is an unacceptable answer, movies are not children and they are not created equally. Please feel free to explain your selection. Selection can be a combination and/or solely based on any of the following PQ, AQ, story, production...

1.)Trick 'r Treat (a blind buy and I flat out hated this movie)
2.)Moon (a blind buy and I found the movie to be horribly boring)
3.)Highlander 1 & 2 (a blind buy and I just did not enjoy them)
4.)Tchaikovsky: Piano Concertos Nos. 1 & 3 (a blind buy and I bought because of the & 7.1 audio. I was not impressed)
5.)Sleepy Hallow (horrible PQ, I love the movie though)

FYI
I do not sell any of my movies because I don't feel it is worth it, stores just ended up raping you. Plus, I doubt the local German stores would like me selling them region A Blu-rays lol

EAGLE EYE-- meh on every level-- just didn't do it for me

WALLED IN-- yeah, I'm a sucker for horror/thriller films but this one sucked

WAR-- how could this go wrong with Statham and Li? It did.

BLACK CHRISTMAS-- great movie, crappy blu-ray

TOTAL RECALL-- same as above

Tropic Thunder - Horrible Movie
Trailer Park Boys - Countdown to Liquor Day - Horrible Audio and Terrible Movie
Nightmare on Elm Street (2010) - Very bad/mediocre movie
RoboCop - Awesome movie, very bad PQ.

Great idea for a thread... For me 3 stand out as my worst movies

1) Inception (so overhyped, thought it was terrible)
2) No Country For Old Men (again overhyped and worst ending ever)
3) Friday the 13th remake (Crap, crap, crap)

not really, it's a mix that will have bad blind buys but other reasons as well..

No particular order

The Last Samurai - Not a bad blu-ray, just one of my least favorite in terms of the movie itself.

The Punisher - great movie, subpar PQ

Reqiuem For a Dream - has no replay value and don't care for the movie a lot, even though Jennifer Connelly is a goddess.

Tommy Boy - Awesome movie, subpar PQ

Trading Places - Good movie (including T&A), subpar PQ

wow, really? What did you find bad about the PQ? I have seen this classic on vhs, laserdisc, and dvd and it always had a washed out transfer with weak color-- the blu ray was the first time I saw a sharp and colorful picture-- I was very pleased with it!

Well, first off, I have a small blu-ray library to start with. So choosing 5 was a little hard. It's basically the lesser of all evils. This movie was the "worst" one left from my library that I hadn't chosen yet. I know it's an old movie, so I wasn't expecting anything great, BUT, it just doesn't have a great PQ.

If you look through my blu-rays, you'll understand why it was so hard to choose my 5.

okay, I get it-- and I certaintly agree with 2 of your other comments--
THE PUNISHER had bad PQ and Jennifer Connelly IS a goddess!!

1. Alien vs Predator - pretty crappy flick, but I got it cheap and it's ok for mindless action/sci-fi
2. AvP Requiem - same as #1
3. Spider-Man 3 - I think all 3 Spider-Man movies are fairly mediocre, actually, but this is the only one I have on blu
4. The Italian Job - Great movie, HORRIBLE PQ
5. Australia - just the opposite. Looks BEAUTIFUL, pretty bad movie. I love Luhrmann's Moulin Rouge and R+J, but this disappointed big time.

Here is my list (there are six) , in no special order
1)The NeverEnding Story (US version)-due to horrible PQ and lack of extras.
2) Child's Play-horrible PQ
3) Dr. Giggles-wrong aspect ratio
4) Total Recall-lousy PQ
5) Meet The Robinsons-just an average outing from Disney, nothing spectacular.
6) Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory-love the film but not crazy about digibooks(now released in a blu case) and not much info in the digibook.

Yes and no, most people sell their bad movies. This thread is more what bad Blu-rays you keep in your collection whether to complete a series, can't bring yourself to part with or whatever reason you decide to keep in your collection.

I started this thread because of the 'Your TOP 5 Movies in your Collection' thread. I just couldn't think of a top 5, too many brilliant titles to choose from, but I could absolutely pick a bottom 5.

The Invention of Lying - Very bland.
Fast & The Furious movies - Dumb, Dumb, Dumb. (Got em cheap though)
The Strangers - Yes, turn on a flashlight when YOU ARE HIDING....
Crank 2 - So very, very bad.

i no longer own these five because they were so bad. but for a long while they were in my collection because i used to not sell any blus i bought. but that changed after a few terrible blind buys

1. Showgirls - the film that started my onslaught. when i bought this, this was my 178th blu-ray. i now have less than 40. this will always be held in my heart for one reason: it was what made me step back and go, "do i want THAT on my shelf?"

2. The Last House on the Left (2009) - not a horror movie by any means

3. Event Horizon - what complete crap

4. Planet of the Apes (2001) - ugh.

5. Kick-Ass - i know i'm in the minority for this title, but this was simply below average, very "meh" on every single level. Cage was the saving grace.

Awesome audio on both.. Inception ( wether you like the movie ) is reference Demo Material
