Default Alpha. Beta. Captain Conner's Space Pals...

This has been driving me nuts for years.

There is a cult semi-classic black and white B-Movie, a comedy from either from the late 50's or early 60's, that is the story of a platoon of soldiers that get lost while on a hike.

It's a cheesy comedy with some fairly clever scenes. One of the recurring themes is that many characters in the movie are "Captain Conner's Space Pals". They have a little emblem or coin or something that they show to other "Space Pals" with ranks similar to those in the armed forces.

Whenever two characters realize the other is a "Space Pal" one will say "Alpha". The other will say "Beta" and then, both simultaneously and enthusiastically say, "Captain Conner's Space Pals to the End".

If anyone has any idea what the name of this movie is I'd appreciate it. It's a long shot, I know, but it has been driving me nuts for literally decades. This may be the one place where I may get lucky. Thanks.
