Default La Fille Sur Le Pont - Japanese soundtrack CD

I finally got my hands on this, and I wanted to put this information somewhere, because when I found this CD in Japan, I couldn't find any information about the contents on the internet. The only page that had the photo of the CD was taken down years ago. The name of the movie in Japanese is "橋の上の娘".

This movie is one of my favorite movies of all time and I'm so happy finally owning this CD.

Director was Patrice Leconte.

It seems the French CD looks basically the same, but there seem to be a total of 26 tracks on the French one, while there are only 17 on the Japanese one.

As far as I know the Japanese CD seems to have been available for some advanced cinema ticket purchase. The French CD seems to have been a print just for some radio stations, I don't know for sure.

The contents are:
Track 01 Istanbul Oriental Ensemble - Hicaz Oyun Havasi (4:03)
Track 02 Humberto Morales - Quién Será (2:47)
Track 03 Kunsertu - Ghandura (3:39)
Track 04 Banda Ionica - Marcia funebre (6:57)
Track 05 Angelo Badalamenti feat. Marianne Faithful - Who Will Take My Dreams Away (3:01)
Track 06 L'Attirail - Nova Zagora, Part 2 (1:36)
Track 07 Marcello Colasurdo - Le Fiabe del Bosco (6:49)
Track 08 Carlo Buti - Firenze Sogna (3:31)
Track 09 Banda Ionica - Jone (3:47)
Track 10 Calicanto - Corcal (3:19)
Track 11 Banda Ionica - Per Domenico Morelli (6:04)
Track 12 Casadei - Romagna Mia (3:32)
Track 13 Benny Goodman - Goodbye (3:25)
Track 14 Brenda Lee - I'm Sorry (2:42)
Track 15 Evangelos Korakakis - Lavrio (Hasapiko) (3:14)
Track 16 Natacha Atlas - Moustahil (3:32)
Track 17 Zurna Improvisation - Huseyin Turkmenler Ensemble (2:16)

Quote:
"- Maybe it’s all I deserve.
It must be the law of nature.
Some people are born to be happy. I get conned every day of my life.
I believe every promise I hear.
I’ve never achieved anything.
I’ve never been useful or precious to anyone, or happy, or even really unhappy.
I guess you’re unhappy when you lose something but I’ve never had anything except bad luck.

- How do you see your future, Adele ?

- … I don’t know.
When I was little, all I wanted to do was grow up.
As fast as I could.
But I can’t see the point of it all.
Not anymore.
Getting older.
I see my future like a waiting room in a big train station, with benches and drafts. Outside, hordes of people run by without seeing me.
They’re all in a rush, taking trains and crabs…
They have somewhere to go, someone to meet…
And I sit there, waiting.

- Waiting for what, Adele ?

- … For something to happen to me."
It's a shame that there was only a Blu-ray release of this in France w/o English subtitles and the UK DVD seems to be OOP.

This is such an awesome find! This is my most favourite movie. It took me ages to track down the song by Marianne Faithfull when I first started to look for it.

Jealous of that CD for sure!

I know I was so bummed they did not release the blu-ray with subtitles...like would it really have been that hard. There are so many great French movies and being near so many other counties you would think they would sub-title most of them.

Again awesome find!
