Default PS3's for $139 on Amazon.com

They do this every year with popular products. All you do is log in and vote. it the product you voted for wins the majority of votes, your eligible for that product at that offering price

http://promotions.amazon.com/gp/holi...customers-vote

I suggest voting Ps3 since currently Wii has the most votes...

Lets get voting!!!!!!!

Why do we care if the PS3 wins? The voters are the only ones that get that price, and I might be making a false assumption here, but I assume we all already have one. I don't need another one.

Now, short of winning the lottery or a rich uncle dying, I don't think I'll ever be buying a Wii or a 360 at full price. But for 100 bucks or less each? I'll play ball.

voting for PS3 assures the win. then that assures 1,000 purchases of Ps3 which adds to the people owning a bluray player. also means those people might purchase movies/software and thus put more pressure on the red team.

I have to agree with Wicked on this. I'm all for Blu support and what not, but there's no way in hell I'm going to vote for a product I have when I could vote for another product I don't have and then get it discounted.

And it's not as if either of those other options has HD-DVD's or players with them. So... you're not really anti-Blu if you vote for either of the other two products.

I love my PS3, but there's no way in hell I'd get two before I got another system or just more games.

I voted for the PS3, but I already have both a Wii and PS3. If PS3 wins and buy some unimagineable luck I can get one for $139 I'd give it to my brother or someone for Christmas--sure would be a nice gift to get, and affordable !

Also, it seems silly for Amazon to put the Wii up there. They had thousands a few weeks ago and all were gone within an hour at the $ 250 price tag. I understand it only makes sense to include all 3 current consoles, but it's still crazy.

So I read through the details, and it seems like they offer this to you randomly if you voted for that particular item.

Last year, I seem to remember it was a free-for-all... and the site was very slow. Anyone remember if that was how it worked?

I like this idea better.

Yes, because a one-day-only online sale of 1000 PS3s is going to break this format war wide open!

That was previous years. Last time they did it this way. You voted and if you were ULTRA-lucky, you got the option to buy it.

1,000 units isn't crap when you have millions of accounts vying for them.

It's the lotto basically.

Gee, I wonder if Ebay will be full of items the day after this happens?

you speak for yourself..

but think of all the people who voted for the PS3 and do not have one...

also with the Sammy BD player...all of the people who intend on purchasing one and will when they see that price...
