Default Final Destination Set (2000-2009) Release date: Oct 28, 2014

I did a search and didn't find a thread about this release, so here it is. I happen to like this franchise, so I'm probably going to buy it.

Amazon - $22.98

Best Buy - $ 19.99

I bought this one at Best Buy last winter for $14.99
Not sure what the difference is. Maybe it was a BB exclusive at the time?

I just checked Best Buy's site, and they have it listed as a pre-order too. Best Buy is $3.00 cheaper as of right now.

I really like these movies too (guilty pleasure), especially #2. Saw that one at the theater not expecting much, and I loved it! The gore is over the top good!

I like these as a guilty pleasure too. There not the best horror movies ever made, but they keep me entertained for a couple of hours.

I don't get why they're only releasing the first 4. With all the other horror box sets coming out this year, they could've put all of them together and maybe made a bit more money (of course it wouldn't include the 3D versions of 4 or 5 because Warner).

Maybe next year.

Yeah, they should of included #5. With all these new horror sets coming out, I'm going to have to start my marathon on Labor Day.

Are these 4 separate discs or are 2 films crammed on 1 disc?

4 separate ones. They're on stacked disc hubs though, 2 per hub

I was going to get this when it first came out last year, but then I got into buying 3D Blu-rays, so this would be pointless now since it doesn't include the 3D version of The Final Destination, and I already bought 1 and 3.

Pointless release since the newest one isn't included.

Uh... How is this a set? It doesn't include the fifth movie, which is far superior to 3 and 4. Not to mention it actually has connections with the first two movies and would make far more sense to be in a set with those over the fourth one.

I would buy one of just the first three movies.

Blu-ray was around when 4 and 5 were first released, so I already have both of those. 1 - 3 were initially released on DVD, so I only have those on DVD.

Love this series, but 5 is the second best film after 2 and it has an absolutely fantastic plot twist which
[Show spoiler] connects it to the first film
. 4 & 5 are also best watched in 3D with 4 making particularly creative use of the format which greatly redeems what is otherwise the weakest film of the bunch.

Didn't think you'd like this sort of thing, TT. You're bang-on about the 3D, if folks are not watching them in that format you're missing half the fun IMO.

I'm a horror geek.

I think The Final Destination series is/was the most consistently entertaining horror franchise, I even enjoy the lesser films. They are like Road Runner cartoons with gore. I wished they made another one.
