This is a great film. Glad to see Caine in anything, especially a film that brings him back home. Just a shame that it shows Britain in it's true light.

Yeah wow Britain is really like that? The police seem like wusses in this. Where was the tear gas?

So it is really like this in your country? The way the thugs and police are portrayed?

Only in places. It is the same everywhere. Police cannot do anything as they can get done for assault. Long gone are the days when the police could dish out there own style of punishments (I received the odd back hand from one or two).

I picked this one up at Barnes & Noble yesterday and used my membership card and a 5.00 off coupon. So it wasn't bad for about 21.00 haven't watched it yet.

Definitely enjoyed this one in the theater and the Blu-ray caps are looking better than the theatrical projection I saw.

What do you mean ages ago? The film was made in 2009. And released in the U.K. cinemas in the Fall that same year. Anyway, I just got it from Netflix and finished watching it. Thought it was terrific. I saw two user reviews off the Bluray.com review where one said it was too slow and the other said it was unbelievable at Caine's age. To which I find both comments sad. First, the pacing of the film was fine. It's not a mainstream movie, what did you expect? And for the person who said Caine was too old too pull this off, bullshit. They made it clear he had a military background. So he knew what he was doing. But even more importantly, the guy was at the end of his rope. No friends, no hope. And he snapped. It's not like he was jumping out of helicopters or hijacking planes. He just followed people and shot them.

I think I may pick this up to check out this weekend. Always been a fan of Caine, who isn't? It seems like many have gave it pretty glowing reviews.

I just received this in the mail from Netflix and all I can say is WOW. What an amazing film. Michael Caine's acting is great in this. I will definitely be buying this.

Just watched as well. I really enjoyed it as well. Caine makes the movie with his raw performance...underplayed at the internal moments but just perfect! It really shows a true portrayal of a man who did terrible things in the war...locked them away for decades, and then just lets a little of that ooze back to the surface for justice. THough the end revelation may seem a bit fast and forced, I still enjoyed it. It wasn't over the top the way TAKEN was (that's obviously more of an action movie). Harry Brown is more DRAMA and for that I say bravo and bravo to Sir Michael Caine.

I suggest the commmentary with the director, producer, and Sir Michael. He's a funny guy with great little anectodal stories and all 3 of them together dished some great info on the movie. I was never bored and wish I could've heard more! HIGHLY Recommended!
