*mild spoiler warning*

Not the biggest miscast in history but I thought Sigourney Weaver in Cabin in the Woods seemed totally out of place.

Elisabeth Shue as a scheming femme fatale in Palmetto. Gorgeous as she is, I can't buy my sunny, girl next door crush from the 80's trying to play Kathleen Turner in Body Heat.

Am I the only one that didn't really like Bradley Cooper as Rocket in Guardians of the Galaxy? His voice just didn't feel right

Sofia Coppola as Mary Corleone in The Godfather Part III. That film would've been so much better had Winona Ryder not pulled out of the role.

Malin Akerman as Silk Spectre in Watchmen. Nearly ruined the movie for me.

Definitely Tom Cruise in Jack Reacher. In the books Jack Reacher is 6'5" and incredibly muscular. Tom Cruise is listed as being 5'7" and that's probably a reach.

Nevertheless, he pulled off the part splendidly. Size matters not, my friend.

Conversely, I think a thread about people that were really well cast for parts that ultimately failed due to script and direction. In this instance, I think that Schumacher's Batman films are the gold standard for wasting a good cast. Kilmer was a great choice for Bruce and Batman and the same goes for Jones, Carrey, Thurman, and Arnold. Can you imagine a Mr. Freeze played by Arnold more in line with how he played the Terminator in the first film? That would have been awesome, but alas, it was not to be.

Yeah Brandon Routh is the quintessential Bizarro.

My only problem with her in that film was that her face looked so young; I was surprised to learn she was in her late 20s at that point.

Kate Bosworth reminded me a bit of Erica Durance from "Smallville", only more humbled by being a mother. Brandon looked younger than her though, which really put me off.

You beat me to it. I came on here to post about how terribly out of place Kate Bosworth felt in that movie! She was so bad in it.
