Nice. After In the Earth apparently getting a DVD only, I'm happy one of the best films of the year (so far) is getting a Blu. Thank you Neon.

This deserved a Criterion release.

Very excited for this!

Strange that NEON ditched Universal.

Decal was created specifically for this purpose.

Yeah, I saw that. I wonder if there were negative circumstances leading to their departure from Universal.

Wow, so Decal is owned by both Neon, and Bleeker street. I wonder what that may mean for any future Criterion deals with Neon. Was hoping Titane would get the Criterion treatment (in 4K as well).

I believe the Decal arrangement makes them flexible to do exactly this.

(And to control more of their own home entertainment revenue including digital sales, and to help distribute other independent companies like Greenwich).

You mean like the number of DVD only titles?

I wonder how long the deleted scenes are?

Because of how the UK cinema industry largely marginalises day and date digital releases (unless you're Disney), I was never able to see this in the cinema. Just not sure which Blu-ray will be best yet as no specs on the Altitude

I had not realized there were a number of DVD only titles. I'm just wondering what this means for 4K UHDs. At the very least we got Parasite on UHD.

Hopefully there's a good release! From what I've heard this film deserves it!

Looks like Decal/Neon are releasing In the Earth on DVD only so I don’t think that would’ve been their problem with Universal. Hopefully the Universal UK release of it goes ahead but most retailers don’t have a date set anymore (previously listed for Oct) so I’m doubtful.

Wow, never even heard of this. However, anything with Nic Cage and a pig sounds like a day one situation!

In The Earth is getting a U.K. Blu-Ray release, it’s up for pre-order. Or am I jumping into a conversation and getting muddled?

The pre-order did say Oct 11th but now it’s undated and there’s no releases listed on baseorg.uk. Would love to be wrong but I assume it’s not happening.
