TVshowsondvd has the Blu-ray art which is the same:

[Show spoiler]

They mentioned there's plans for a Complete Series set too but I'd assume that will likely be DVD only unless they also do BDs for the early seasons.

I'd drop money on a complete series in a heartbeat if they made another limited edition like they did with the Bender head dvds. I've still been trying to get a hold of the dvd complete set but it's not super cheap.

Here's to hoping they make a complete blu ray set with a Zoidberg head

Any chance of the previous two volumes ever selling for a decent price? I got volume five for $12.99 on Amazon about two years back, but six and seven refuse to go down.

I was hoping Hermes would be on the cover. Maybe if Fox decides the release a 4-pack of the movies in the style of volumes 5-8, they'll use him (maybe in a head jar ala Bender's Big Score).

It'd be nice if the Complete Series was coming to Blu-ray too.

I'm still wondering when the first four seasons and the first two movies will come to Blu-Ray...

Since I mainly follow TV shows by their home video releases, this post was the first I've heard of the series being over (for now at least). Sadface.

Omg I love that cover! I was just thinking to myself the other day who would be on the cover for volume 8. On a related note, I'm glad that my two favorite characters, Zoidberg and Bender, are on two of the Blu-ray covers.

I'll pass on the complete series set. I already have all the volumes and movies on DVD/Blu-ray so that would just be unnecessary. I know that the first run of the show (volumes 1-4) are only in standard def, so they wouldn't really benefit from Blu-ray.

However, I'd be pretty pissed if they finally released the first two movies on Blu-ray but they were only part of the complete series set. I'm still hoping we'll see them on Blu-ray eventually... either released separately or as a double feature.

Is there a pre-order link for Amazon yet? I searched "Futurama Volume 8" but nothing came up... but it's happened before where I've searched for something but didn't put in the right keywords lol.

Can anyone confirm that the previously released seasons that are only on DVD are native SD? We probably won't see them released on Blu-Ray if that's the case, but I'd still like to see a complete series set. They might still be optimistic about the show being picked up though.

They were made in SD from what I've read. Apparently it was Fox's fault (what else is new), as this article says it could have been in HD from the start:

http://slurmed.com/news/2008-09-25/f...-hd-since-1999

They could release upconverted seasons but I doubt it'll happen. There's no excuse for the first 2 movies to not be on BD though since those are HD productions.

Thanks. I only started watching Futurama within the last year so I don't own any of the DVDs yet. I love the cover art for this volume and the rest of the seasons though.
