Smile Black Friday is coming!

Hey guys, so Black Friday is coming next week.. does anyone know what retail stores are participating and how to get the best deals? Either online or in the shops.

I'm looking to buy a few blu-rays and potentially a sound bar, any help would be much appreciated!

Many thanks,

Jay

Just stay home and shop on-line, avoid the supermarkets, make sure you have your essential foods and milk before the day, otherwise you're liable to get a smack in the face by some nut who thinks your cartoon of organic is an iPad ...

I could not stop laughing. I've been calling it Armageddon Day as every customer I have had recently has been asking me what offers will be on Black Friday.

Thanks for the messages guys. Haha made me laugh too. Hmm guess I'll just have to look around then online. I never seem to be the guy who finds good deals and always end up paying full price for stuff...

Those Polaroid TVs often come with an extra shopper (riding it like a body-board in the surf) attached to the box, you have to shake them off before the till or you'll be forced to pay an extra 10p for one of those lifetime carrier bags.

I see some companies aren't bothering this year as last year didn't cause extra spending, it just shifted it from later in the year. Amazon is doing its best to mix in normally "reduced" items to confuse the matter and trying to pressure people into buying Prime as the offers start half an hour later for those without Prime.

I work in Tesco mate and I know there's a Sharp sound bar that will be part of the deals.

Is anyone nonplussed with Amazon this year? With their £20 limit before free shipping I've kind of lost interest, I know I'm cheap, but it takes the fun off finding a bargain. Although saying that in the past if the pre-Lightning Deal price is over the limit they're usually eligible for free shipping, is that still the case?

I ordered a fraction with amazon this year in comparison to the years before. In part it has also to do of course euro-pound ratio but also because they took away free shipping above 25 pounds (to The Netherlands) and made shipping more expensive.
