The price of the US box set was a bargain compared to the individual (current) prices of these on JB AU though.

$AU82 vs. $AU174

I think I know what I would chose.

Covers spoilt by those "ugly" ratings logos. I bought the US version. Heaps cheaper, even paying the GST, about half the price, but they want us to buy local.

Damn....why no NZ release? I really want The Hunt for Red October, maybe the 2 Harrison Ford ones too.
I don’t have any work trips over the ditch scheduled, so I may have to try ordering from the .au site once my wallet recovers from all the NZ November releases.

Picked up the 4K of Red October last week.

It looks great for a film of its age and has that lovely 35mm look to it as well but it also a transfer very true to the films source as a dark, soft and grainy film though it is a huge improvement on the regular Blu-Ray.

The TrueHD track is the same as the regular Blu-Ray but it sounds a bit more clearer much like the DTS-HD mix on the 4K of Die Hard did as its given more space.
