For some reason I feel like I need to buy blu rays when I see a great price because I am afraid it will go up in price. The times I have passed on buying certain blu rays at great prices they have then gone up in price. Right now I am thinking of buying the Mummy collection the 1998 one that has all 4 movies and a bonus disk for 19.99 at Best Buy. I have never seen any of the movies but at that price I just might buy it. Have heard the first 2 films were good. Most of the time I do not regret buying blu rays at a great price. Right now my problem is storage space, am running out of room to keep all my blu rays. I try not to buy many blind buys. Do you also feel the need to buy blu rays at great prices?

I use my watchlist, and buy immediately if a blu-ray falls under my price. Even when I'm short on cash, because I really want that movie and sometimes I've been waiting for months for it to drop to my level.
I rarely blind buy something because it goes cheap. I made the mistake of doing that with Suicide Squad. Both versions for $9.99. I spent only $10, yea, but I don't like the movie. So it was a waste. |

Really only if they are movies that look interesting to me. I have my wishlist on Amazon set up so I am checking up on prices of movies I would like to get throughout the year. Usually around the holidays when they go on sale. I almost never buy a movie when it comes out at full price. I wait for sales and the price to drop.

Dude, here's a thought. If you are that obsessed with buying anything as much as you seem to be, go get therapy. Go seek professional help and stop asking completely unqualified strangers on the internet what you should do.

![]() Buy them all my friend! Keep consuming that physical media! Buy all the Blu Rays in the world! ![]() Seriously though... I'm a sucker for a bargain which is what I think the original poster was referring to. If it's a title from a specialty label that usually cannot be found on the second hand market for cheap and/or a title that never seems to dip in price, then you better believe I'm snatching it up if I can afford it if I find it to be significantly on sale. |

Great prices are always nice...but I try not to let it influence me too much. My main thing is it needs to be a movie I enjoy and will re-watch.
Not to bash Heat, but I only bought it a few months ago because Amazon had it at some insanely low price of like $7.88 for the brand new edition. I grabbed it at that price. Watched it and liked it...but quickly discovered it wasn't something I would rewatch. So, even though I got it at a complete steal, I ended up selling it off later. |

I have a lot on my wishlist and when they hit a low price I pounce. Especially with 50% or so sales.

Movie shy,
Just curious, what do you do when it comes to going into your local Target? Most Targets have the $5 Blu section. Are you able to pass on one's that you have no interest in? Or do you buy them all because they're "only" $5? Hopefully you're able to show some restraint. Just now at the top of this website, where they show various Blu's on sale, I see Grease for $ 5.32 and Gangs of New York for $5.00. Both great prices, but for me at least, these are examples of movies that could be $1 and I would still pass, just because I have no interest in watching or owning them. |

I really didn't need to buy Moana as I have yet to see it, but I had to buy it when it was on sale for 19.99 and still had the cover. Same thing with Alice Through the Looking Glass, though that one I watched and turns out I liked it more than the first.

Not too often, but sometimes.
What's interesting is that I rarely browse online for Blu's, but I may get them for good prices if I see them @ retail - even if I'm not specifically looking for them. Big Lots & Target especially can have great prices on Blu's. |
