Watched this last night. I thought the movie was pretty good for the genre and what it advertised (to me). PQ/SQ was top notch and I really enjoyed the music videos which were a bonus feature.

This movie was hilarious.. I wish some of the concerts scenes were even longer because they are too funny. A shame this movie flopped so bad.

If you like The Lonely Island, it basically is a 90 min version of either one of their digital short or some kind of live incarnation of their albums.

In any case, since I usually love what they're doing, the movie got me laughing almost all the way through. There are some parts a tad long, or some jokes a bit less funny, but it hits quite often, and the huge amount of cameos also made my day.

I thought it was hilarious too. I can see why it flopped though, the target audience of this movie are more of the stay at home and laugh your ass off while getting high type of people. This will have a lot of legs on digital and streaming.

It's airing on HBO this month. It's definitely very funny and well made. I hope Samberg and Apatow do another movie together.

Is Shout Factory no longer releasing Popstar? I don’t imagine there is huge demand considering there nothing wrong with the current release and it is $5... while we know Shout tax would put this at around $30.

There's just no release date yet, that's all. I would imagine sometime later this year.

I' intrigue of what they could possibly add to it. Trailers and TV spots sure, but what else (a new interview)?

Incidentally, the fact they're doing a film from 2016 really opens the door for Shout! to do more films from recent years (Sausage Party for example which really could use a good CE).

Great movie, and a pointless release. The existing Universal Blu-ray looks and sounds perfect; the supplements are copious. Cheap, too.

That new cover ain't saying "you got to have me" me either. Plus there's the whole Platoon steelbook debacle.... I have the stacked blu with a cool slip I got for $9, looking like another easy pass.

I don't love or hate Shout and have no problem supporting them when they put out good shit I want or need. I'm happy as hell to have Ravenous on blu even if it is somewhat disappointing quality-wise, it still crushes the dvd I had. This just seems like a pointless waste of a license.

I'm with you all the way around. I've been happy with most of the Shout/Scream Blu-rays, but occasionally they stumble. Then again, so does every other company, but I digress. (And I've loved Ravenous since I saw it at a sneak preview. Still have some of the Ravenous beef jerky they gave away!)

When I watch on my Plasma, the blue lights in the club/disguise scene really blow out and look almost like someone has thrown paint on the screen. I tried on a friends oled with the same result. Is this normal or do we both need to look at our settings?

For six bucks I gave it a roll. It looked and sounded good on my projection system. Great color. There was one scene that had me laughing so hard I couldn't breathe. I didn't recognize some of the celebrities, but I still enjoyed it. Worth six bucks definitely.
