I just received this email from Blue Underground:

"Thank you for your email. We're glad you're enjoying our Blu-ray releases and hope you continue to purchase them! THE CRAZIES will be released on Blu-ray on Feb. 23rd. We are just beginning work now on THE PROWLER Blu-ray, which should be released by Halloween. Look for an official announcement in the coming months on our website: www.blue-underground.com"

I personally can't wait to see this classic slasher hit high definition!

then you will love the prowler. its directed by joseph zito (friday the 13th the final chapter) and features some great savini gore effects. definitely one of my favorites of the slasher genre.

and yeah, Q would be AWESOME.

Thank the film-release gods for folk like Blue Underground. I'm so glad they provide us with these movies. Anyways, Prowler is excellent and definitely worth a buy if you're into the genre.

You've been missing out... I've been watching horror since I was 6 years old. '70s and '80s were the best.

This looks really interesting, given the actors and the fact that it could be a high-quality release.

I did however send an e-mail asking them to render the legacy Mono track in lossless audio. Hopefully it's early enough in the process that they may consider it. I don't know why it isn't done in the first place--isn't it easier to use the LPCM direct from the film elements than to run it through Dolby Digital compression anyway?
