I actually prefer the regular 4K artwork, but the completist in me will end up purchasing the steelbook.

If they are not going to put the "4K - Ultra HD" logo on the spine as they did for 2001 my OCD will be extremely pissed.

The 4k slipcover artwork blows this steel away

seems like I am the only only one who likes this artwork...

The colour is (or it might be) the one chosen for the Saul Bass original Poster, and the idea of the "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" Maze cleverly combines two iconic moments of the movie without spoiling too much (which is always a tasteful choice).

The slipcover is good, but is a bit basic imho, and it makes the movie looks like a Slasher.

I'm with you on that but if I had to choose between the two it would be the regular 4K edition. This Steelbook design seems awful.

I would be perfectly fine with the steelbook artwork if they hadn't used the famous phrase as the walls of the maze.

I would have preferred that, too. Too many damn words on the cover. But if they really wanted to use that phrase, it might've looked better (and would be more fitting) if they'd used a typewriter font.

Y'all are crazier than Jack Torrance. This Steelbook is great.

I get the concept but I hate the execution of it. The maze has an unfortunate and presumably unintentional 'nazi' look about it...
