Default Hello Everybody

Hello All!
I'm glad I found this site, as it covers two of my new favorite things, PS3 and Blu-Ray. Now the hard part is deciding what to buy first, games or movies. Currently I'm at one of each, Spiderman 3 and The Darkness but plan on expanding soon. Just stopped by to say hello for now, I'm sure I'll have some questions later.

Howdy, Bullet.

No rush on buying software. Send a letter to Santa or something.

Assassin's Creed, Haze, Unreal Tournament 3(it's been slated for next month!), Uncharted, Resistance, Guitar Hero 3, and Call Of Duty 4 for games. As far as movies, I recommend Close Encounters, The Patriot, The Fifth Element, the Pirates movies, Cars, Rataoullie, Halloween, Nine Inch Nails:Live Beside You In Time, Dave Matthews/Tim Reynolds: Live at Radio City Music Hall, The Warriors, Underworld 1 and 2, Kingdom Of Heaven. There are lots more I could mention, but thought of these first. Welcome to the forum, and the best next gen experience. Time to be a lemming like us and go into debt buying like mad!!

Yes, but it's Blu poverty. A more genteel kind of poverty that still allows you to look smart and feel great!

Not many people have the option for both -- high quality movies and video games from one machine. Congratulations on your PS3 purchase.

To help you along with some suggestions, here are some of my favorite games and movies. If we share the same tastes, I highly recommend them all.

I) Games:
1. Resistance Fall of Man
2. Motorstorm
3. GRAW2
4. Ninja Gaiden Sigma
5. COD4 (I have it, but I haven't played it yet. But I know it'll be fun, based on word of mouth)
6) Uncharted
7) Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction (The title Tools of Destruction is probably Insomniac's insider punn for "Gears of War").

If you're like me, then you need to play the games at least twice before you make your final judgment on how good they are.

II) Movies:
1) Hellboy
2) Bridge to Terabithia
3) Casino Royale
4) Pixar movies
5) Polar Express (assuming it will be good)
6) Harry Potter (assuming it will be good)

These are some pretty good movies. You should try them out whenever you get the chance, if we have the same tastes in movies. But visually, they should be stunning.

There's a lot to like about the PS3.
