Default Watched dates disappearing

I'm currently in the process of updating my entire collection to have the price data in the right field. I used to have it in the comments but I'm moving it to the actual price field. To do this I've been going to pages of my collection, selecting all titles and hitting edit, but this has been deleting the watched dates from my discs. If I add them individually they return, but having corrected one at random and then doing the select all thing again, the date disappears on the edit screen featuring all the titles. Purchase dates are unaffected.

I can't replicate this... I assume you are editing your Blu-ray collection? On what device and which browser? Do you have a custom setting for amount of listed movies on one page?

Yes, editing my collection. My browser is Chrome. I use a PC. I have it set to 100 titles per page.

To be a little clearer, I had edited up to page 11 of my 15 page Blu-ray collection when they reintegrated the check boxes. Before that I would have to open each Blu-ray individually and edit the info. On page 11 (this is a custom category, "Sold"), I encountered this problem when, now utilizing the easier check boxes, I press the "Select All" button and then "Edit Selected." This appears to be what causes the "Watched" dates to disappear. "Watched" remains checked but the data in the field goes away. After I hit "Save" on my changes to Page 11's entries, I clicked on some individual titles that I knew I had previously had "Watched" dates for and the field is blank. I re-added a date to a single title, saved it, clicked away to another page, clicked back to that title, and re-opened the field, and the date was still there, so it saved properly, but if I hit "Select All" and "Edit Selected" again, that title has the date missing once again. (This time I didn't save my changes after hitting "Edit Selected", and the date was still there when I double checked that single title again.)

I just forgot I wasn't mass editing my collection for this reason and deleted the watch dates for my entire owned collection doing some minor tweaks. Please, someone figure out why this is happening and fix it, I'm very upset that if I want that information in there (and I do) I now have to go back in and add all of it again.

I can think of a few reasons.

...is backing up the information I have put in the website even possible?

To be clear, I have that data written down. It's not lost, it's just lost from the website. The frustrating part is / will be putting it all back in again. Not gonna do anything about it until I know this is fixed.

The thing is, this IS a glitch. It happens when I select all / edit all on a page. So to put in watched dates again would mean selecting each title and editing it individually as well.

It definitely sounds like a bug. Unfortunately it doesn't appear to be easily replicated, and we just don't have the time to look into it in detail right now, but we'll make sure to do it as soon as we get the time.

Sure. You can always manually download the page. Granted, an export option for things other than collection lists would be nifty.

A bit of an update. It looks like the information is not actually being deleted. When I am looking at it in the old edit view (the kind that opens when you click on the gears or when you do "select all / edit all", the dates are invisible. However, when you go to the individual pages and click on the "owned" button and it pops up that window, then the dates are still present. I can also sort by date and the titles appear to sort properly, although I didn't look closely to see if all titles were present.

We do have backups so we can reset the watched dates, but it sounds like it's just some display bug which I unfortunately still can't replicate. I will spend more time trying to find it.
