Sunfilm have a whole bunch of converted 3D titles in the pipeline, including the new Howling movie, under the title BlueMoon 3D - -
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-H...Blu-ray/28210/

- I'd be interested to hear your comments on Daybreakers 3D once it arrives. The second half of this thread -
https://forum.blu-ray.com/3d-blu-ray...-titles-3.html
- is focused on the German 3D conversion discs. I've yet to see one that is acceptable, but I'm hoping they are going to get better as we move on...

The odds of it being region free aren't too good. I've picked up a few of the German converted 3D discs and the only one I've encountered that was region free was Bear 3D - and that was the first converted title released.

Do these converted movies look better than 2d blu-rays movies converted using the 2D -> 3D feature on a blu-ray player?

It's probably 50/50. I keep seeing these conversions and they're all so-so movies, but then I see that Daybreakers 3D is coming out, it makes me think I should invest in a European PS3 so I can have 3D capabilities.

I saw the movie, but not in 3D. I'd be afraid it would be a quick, mild 3D conversion like I Robot's 3D was.

It's an interesting take on vampires, but not much action at all unlike the Blade movies which have a lot of slick action, so best to go in knowing it's not really a big action film.

I'm scared of it being just like that one too!

I guess if it had been good, someone would have chimed in......

Couldn't possibly be a diamond in the haystack now could it?!?

Found this post on another thread.

German release of Daybreakers 3D comes with forced German subtitles. Because of this I will not be buying this 3D version of the movie

Have to be cautious about a few things when Hollywood movies are only available in 3D from foreign countries. One of the most frustrating are the occasional forced subtitles when the original English audio track is chosen. Found this on DayBreakers in 3D, region B from Amazon.de (Germany). No way to stop the German subtitles.

I rather not have forced subtitles either. Distracting.

I'd like to see these companies release the Blade 1 & 2 movies on blu ray 3D since I don't think I'll ever see them in 3D any other way.

That would be great but aren't these conversions so lazy and terrible its not even worth it? I thought they were akin to auto convert functions on television sets. The least I'd want/ expect would be I, Robot quality. Anything less than that is pointless.
