Default Sports movies based on True stories!

I'm finally getting back into watching movies on a regular basis after a rather long absence, and due to not having a BDP at my disposal. The other day I was watching a movie on Netflix, and then a DVD later on, and I realized that I really enjoy true stories about athletes or athletic organizations . It doesn't matter what the sport is, whether or not its about amateurs/professionals, and they can be foreign-language as well. I just like that type of story.

As such, I'd like to compile a list of titles that I could eventually purchase, and I hope this is what you guys can help me out with. Maybe this would even be of use to some others. All I want to do is compile a list of titles, so any links on deals aren't necessary.

I welcome your suggestions and recommendation, so thanks in advance for your input!

It raises a question.
I feel a movie like Any Given Sunday shows more of what football is about than say, The Blindside. The Blindside is based on a true story, AGS is based on lore and legends. It seems the most popular sports films are not based on true stories, but I'll start:

The Blindside
The Hurricane
Eight Men Out (not sure if blu)

Johnny, you might want to check out the movie 42, The Jackie Robinson story. If you like baseball at all, you might enjoy it. It's about the first black player in major league baseball.

I underdstand where you're coming from and don't disagree, but I really like the human element of true stories. I'm also a bit of a nut for autobiographies, whether film or books.

I have seen the The Blind Side...thought Sandra B was excellent in that btw.

I saw that as well and loved it. I will definitely get the BD of this as I think it has great replay value for me.

I'm a huge fan of sports movies. Some of my favorites based on true stories that haven't yet been mentioned include:

Remember the Titans
Rudy (a lot of fiction in this movie, Joe Montana, who played at Notre Dame with Rudy, hates it and says there's little truth to the movie)
Hoosiers
The Rookie
Ali
Cinderella Man
Friday Night Lights
Miracle
We Are Marshall
Without Limits

Don King: Only in America
Not available on blu, but a fun kinda of HBO bio-pic/comedy/drama with a performance from Ving Rhames that has to be seen to believed. He was Don King for the whole runtime!

Rush is really great (and based on a true story)
Senna is also very good (but it's a documentary)
