Default movie about a twin Earth

Bonjour,

I saw a movie a long time ago and I can't remember the title. It was about a astronaut who travel to discover a twin Earth on the other side of the sun. When he arrive, everything is reverse (like in a Mirror) and is ship explode when he try to return because they forgot to reverse the polarities of the energy source.

Thank you.

Could it be "Journey to the Far Side of the Sun" (AKA Doppleganger)? Here's a trailer for reference:

Could it be Christopher Nolan's Interstellar? I hear it is a masterpiece.

No one has even seen it yet. Who is calling it a masterpiece other than Nolan fanboys?

Yeah, I reserve judgment on calling anything a Masterpiece until I have actually seen it. The movie looks good, but it remains to be seen whether it will live up to its lofty ambitions.

I like all of Nolan's films but will wait on calling it a masterpiece till I've seen it.

I was thinking the same. I wonder if they could pull off a sequel for this movie.

Default Untrue, my fine feathered friends because...

... without having seen it I can firmly predict that "Interstellar" will be brilliant because, well ...it's Nolan. C'mon ...not to get into a long debate here, but all in all the Dark Knight trilogy was pretty awesome. Some people absolutely hated "The Dark knight Rises" and although I can certainly understand some of their reasoning and logic, I thought it was alright. I do; however, maintain that "The Dark Knight" was one of the greatest sequels and comic book inspired films ever made, just as I remain firmly entrenched in the Heath's was the definitive portrayal of the Joker (sorry Jack). Also, with regard to Nolan's prowess as a director, "Inception" and even "The Prestige" were brilliant for that matter (in my anything but humble opinion).

I don't believe it is always necessary to have seen a film before making certain 'educated guesses' ...just as I can correctly and 100% accurately predict the following...

A.) The next two or three Adam Sandler films will be absolute pieces of crap

B.) "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and "Guardians of the galaxy 2" will be fantastic!

C.) Annoying nerds/geek fanboys will literally tear the internet apart in a war to end all wars, debating whether Ben Affleck's portrayal of Batman was superior to Christian Bale's

D.) The next Star Wars trilogy (along with the stand alone films) will be vastly superior to the prequel trilogy.

E.) Pretty much any film David Fincher does will also be brilliant because, well ...it's Fincher.

TAA DAA!

Well...no use in arguing cold hard facts about things that haven't happened yet.

I went to a screening of Another Earth with a Q&A session. Believe it or not, the filmmakers claimed that they were not aware of the other movie before they made theirs.
