John Goodman (NOT the actor) found guilty of vehicular homicide!

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - John Goodman has been found guilty on both counts - DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide. Both charges also include the language "and failure to render aid."

Goodman was taken into custody in the courtroom by Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies after his lawyers asked that he remain on house arrest, which Judge Colbath denied.

Goodman will be sentenced at a future date.

Following the verdict, State Attorney Dave Aronberg tweeted: "Justice was done today. Credit to ASAs Al Johnson & Sherri Collins. No celebration, just thinking of Scott Wilson & family."

The verdict came before 2 p.m., soon after jurors returned from their lunch break.

Earlier, the jurors wanted to hear the 911 call Goodman made after the crash again. The judge brought them into the courtroom and allowed them to listen to it.

Also, the investigation into juror tampering and extortion continues.

Multiple sources confirm a man was arrested in Albany, NY., after allegedly text messaging witness Kris Kampsen after his testimony.

According to sources, the suspect offered a connection to a juror on the case in exchange for money. The investigation is being conducted by both state and federal agencies.

WPTV sources confirm the suspect was arrested Sunday, and there could be another person related to the case who is still not in custody.

On Tuesday morning, the four alternates in the case were released.

Among the alternates were a convicted felon who allegedly brought a computer into his hotel room and the woman who heard hotel hecklers while on her hotel balcony.

Yeah, misleading thread title. Everybody loves John Goodman the actor. Nobody cares about John Goodman the other guy.

When I first saw this story trending on Yahoo a couple weeks ago, I was like "What the hell?!" No doubt John Goodman the actor was probably getting calls from family and friends going "Hey, what's with this whole vehicular homicide thing?"
